Kala Namak – Indian Black Salt
A South Asian salt speciality to refine your dishes with an egg-like flavour.
The Indian Kala Namak salt (also known as "black salt") tastes particularly good in chutneys, fruit salads and southeastern dishes of all kinds. This seasoning salt is particularly recommended for dishes with mildly sweet flavours, such as fried vegetables with fruits or vegan fish alternatives with a dash of lemon juice.
A fine pinch of Kala Namak even tastes good in long drinks and mixed fruit juices – for an exceptional but surprisingly delicious hint of egg flavour from the included Harad seeds. And because of this deceptively egg flavour, the Kala Namak is the ideal choice for preparing vegan egg alternatives and it can also give many other dishes the often desired egg flavour.
